Someone tried to steal the leather jacket’s place. Obviously I’m talking about the denim jacket! More versatile, funnier, better for spring: during this season you’ll see it everywhere, on anyone, in any shape, cut and style. The perfect outerwear piece when warmth arrives, a safe shelter for the evening when the air turns cool. Light and longette. With a flowery pattern. Bomber shaped. With a classical delave effect, for a very “bad girl”. Super tight. Or even in a double-brested version. What kind of trousers can you pair with it?

Nothing easier: for this season, total denim is a must-have, thus the first choice can and, actually, must be jeans. Either go for a crop or skinny pair, they’re trendy. Perfect as regards classical tones, in a culotte version, maybe to match with a uni-colour silk-made shirt. Wonderful, according to me, the idea of a light pink colour (check out this très chic model by Caractère). Another seasonal must-have under the denim jacket is the male t-shirt, better if over-size and white.

Okay to patterns, but simple ones. Yes to lettering: like this one by Alexander McQueen, or this funny one by Zara, with embroidered logo. Cute even with some lace and a very summery pattern. The trendy alternative is the crop top. Fine both if lingerie-inspired (and as regards this field Dolce&Gabbana leads the way) or a bit teen-inspired, with a typical crochet motif. For the most original among you: here’s a Gone with the Wind inspired top reinterpreted in a modern key. Otherwise this Positano piece with a majolica pattern, by Dolce&Gabbana. I suggest, for example, a very versatile pinstripe model H&M. More elegant: a pair of culottes cady-made by Max Mara. Pure style. Do you want to wear your jacket with a skirt? Of course you can.
