Whoever said “you find what you look for” had probably never opened a woman’s bag. You know very well that moment of your day when you’re looking for your keys and instead you happen to find handkerchiefs, a missing sock and five lipsticks one after the other, even believing at some point that you finally found your key-holder (and thus getting very disappointed right after). This is the reason why, even though I really love some maxi bags, I prefer tiny models. Mini bags are my life, mostly because I am capable of fitting my whole life inside them, just like the wizard Merlin does while moving. Tiny, but of course not too much. I love gracious and light measurements, that don’t let you guess their actual capacity.

Then of course a bag should be well organized, with at least a couple of pockets inside and an outer pocket. Something else we rarely think of: locks. After I have spent several minutes looking for my keys, I can’t afford to waste time closing my bag, while in one hand I’m holding the handkerchiefs and the lipsticks I found and in my mouth I’m holding my keys. Thus, yay for magnetic locks. And now that logos are a must-have, a magnetic lock with a logo is a great and comfortable trend. My aim in all of this is to tell you that I’ve found two ideals bags and I’m glad I can share them with you.

This time I was looking for something perfect: an exclusive item, recognizable, modern and functional. The inspiration came from Tod’s spring summer line. It took some time as models are always like pearls of elegance, many little icons of contemporary style. And also because, as the great Paola Jacobbi from Vanity Fair said, bags are like husbands: before you marry one you think about it. I’ve chosen the brown one, but the model is also available in black, white and blue. Its leather is incredibly soft, wonderful to touch; there’s a frontal pocket with a Tod’s Double T accessory; the handle is in leather with some details in chain. A perfect combination between modernity and tradition, elegance and dailywear. The other one,which I maybe like even more, is a mini shoulder bag, adjustable and with a (magnetic) lock in metal, wonderful tone sur tone seams and embroideries made of sequins and metal, furnished with a back pocket and internal tiny pockets. Very functional.
