Some of the coolest accessories ever are made of leather, that’s a rule you can’t escape. Precious, practical, evergreen, leather is always in a fashion girl’s wishlist, regardless her style. Either classical, demodé, drama queen inspired, girly, ethnic, romantic, minimal, or sexy… just think of it: leather goes along with all of these moods, and many others. This is why I personally selected 5 leather-made accessories which I think any woman can’t live without. The first one, you probably know it, it’s the more obvious, but not to be forgotten: a leather bag.

Not everybody can afford a Birkin, a Kelly or a 2.55 matelassé, the most wished and expensive bag ever. But still, many boutiques produce wonderfully variants, and some of them are really incredible. We’re going from tassel, to hammered leather, to matellassè, up to the most luxurious ones, in crocodile, snake, lizard or ostrich leather. For example the leather shop Serafini created a beautiful homage to the Birkin with this model in vegetable-tanned leather, lined in cream (a detail I personally find very elegant). Moreover, you can also use it as a shoulder bag, applying hooks. Beautiful, smart and chic. Don’t forget you can find comfortable and great-looking models even for cheaper prices. Here’s two nice ideas: shoulder clutch with no embroideries and internally lined, a simple item that you should always own in your closet. The same goes for the evergreen cross body bag, that I suggest with this crocodile print, by French Connection. An now, accessory number two: the leather hat.

Rain hat in latex: I prefer the polished black version, maybe with some embroideries or a golden chain. Otherwise, I really love this version by Gucci. This takes us right to accessory number 3: a super-refined pair of leather gloves, better if internally padded with wool, like this pair by Emporio Armani. If you are particularly daring, choose them in soft black leather with uncovered fingers, or maybe with some studs, that are super cool lately.

And here we are at the fifth accessory, last but not least: a leather belt. When we’re talking about this accessory, I disagree with the no-logo policy: that’s exactly how I want to declare my love for a brand. Between must-haves, let me suggest Gucci, Moschino, Louis Vuitton and this wonderful light pink belt by Fendi. The right belt, maybe with some colour, will give you a sprint, fresh and super trendy look. Moreover, it is an evergreen piece, that you can keep using in next season too.
