What colour will the new year be? Pantone, the biggest source as regards colours, can answer to that. Get ready, as the new iconic colour of 2017 will be… greenery! It is a shade of green with hints of yellow. Fresh, regenerating, beauty-friendly and perfect for a new start in the sign of nature and relax.

Let’s say it straight: it is not an easy colour to pull off, except for red-headed. We had the chance to see it on many catwalks that presented next season’s collections: Lacoste, Zac Posen, Micheil Kors, Emilio Pucci, Celine.

Designers both suggest it plain or with patterns, like in this crêpe little dress by Miu Miu. Consider that greenery can be matched with a neutral set of colours (like grey), but looks great even with pink, red and light blue. Be daring, starting from the coat: I love this elegant model by Jil Sanders, that will let you give a happy ending to your winter. Of course, a nice greenery top, worn with jeans or with a colourful outfit, is a must-have, just like accessories are.

Check out, for example, this clutch designed by Charlotte Olympia, incredibly extravagant and yet, in my opinion, wonderful; or this very glam model by Anya Hindmark. Moreover, of course I have to mention a nice pair of light green leather-made decolleté. Even make-up can help you: I got this vivid and natural pigments by Mac, whereas I use this eye-pencil by 3ina to create daring looks.

If you’re particularly brave, you should absolutely check out this liquid mat lipstick in green, that shines under UVA lights. I haven’t had the right chance to wear it yet, but remember: never say never. Be greenery!
